Brush, was conceived out of a desire to offer something that was nonexistent in the salon industry. A tranquil, calming environment with one on one client service. Brush- Palm Springs, is your very own personal salon.
Each client is given private, personalized attention by owner Barry Nadeau. Together you will discuss any issues you may be having with your hair texture, scalp problems, color desires and cut. Along with expert advice each client sits in a soft leather styling chair which looks onto the San Jacinto mountains and the uptown design district of North Palm Canyon Drive.
Brush is enclosed in a glass Atelier, which is in the historic Gallery Building. While being pampered by Barry’s expert techniques in color, cutting, styling and scalp treatments, you are offered select coffees, teas, wines, beers, and whiskey.

The creator of Brush
Barry Nadeau began styling hair nearly 30 years ago in New Orleans, LA. He is a master stylist, cutter and colorist.
After graduating from Loyola University at 19, with a degree in psychology, Barry felt that his creative side wasn’t being utilized. He turned his creativity to hair design; eventually opening his first salon, Barry Soileau’s, located in the popular, Avenue Plaza Hotel in New Orleans.
After finding success among local clientele and prestigious dignataries, he moved to New York City to hone his skills at Dop Dop Salon in SoHo, working side by side with technicians who developed color for Redken and Loreal; and at Arte Salon, where he expanded into both print and editorial work.
His work has been featured in magazines like Vogue, Bazaar and W Magazine and has created runway styles for international luxury brands.
He is excited about making Palm Springs his new home and opening brush -Palm Springs where he is revolutionizing the idea of the “hair salon”, turning it from genetical to a private concierge hair care paradise.
In addition to his loyal local client base, Barry also provided services to visiting dignitaries including Margaret Tatcher and Madelieine Albright.
Barry´s styling were featured in a twenty-eight page fashion pictorial in the September 2005 issue of W magazine.
